About the event

Join us to celebrate Haiti's people, culture, and history with Haitian Colors, Haitian Heroes!/ Koulè Ayiti, Ewo Ayiti! Through music, storytelling, and craft-making, we will kick off the countdown to one of Haiti's biggest national holidays -- Haitian Flag Day on May 18 -- and time travel to explore the slave revolt that defeated Europe's most powerful armies. Kids will make Haitian Hero Shields adorned with the colors of the Haitian flag and featuring one of four freedom fighters. Featuring Boston guitarist Steve Desrosiers!
