About the event

What are monuments for? Whose stories do they celebrate? Whose stories do they erase or get wrong? In this workshop, we'll explore statues and monuments (famous and not so famous), examine hard moments of our shared history, and use art-making to re-imagine how statues and monuments can celebrate values of community, equity, and justice.
